The Sporting Club Scotland launched in style at
Greyfriars Kirk, Edinburgh, with an unforgettable evening that brought together sport, business, and community.

Guests enjoyed a drinks reception, professional photo opportunities, and a world-class three-course dinner by Saltire Hospitality, followed by inspiring live interviews with Gregor Townsend, Craig Chalmers, Scott Brown, and representatives from Leith Rugby. The evening also supported the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, raising funds for a cause close to the heart of the sporting community.

The launch was just the beginning. With more events lined up, including the Judy Murray Dinner at Hibernian Football Club on November 19th, The Sporting Club Scotland is set to create more opportunities to meet legends, build valuable connections, and enjoy outstanding experiences.

Good people, Good business, Good fun — that’s what The Sporting Club Scotland is all about.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and supported our launch.

Your presence made the evening truly special and we’re excited for what’s ahead with you alongside us.

What others are saying about the Sporting Club

"Cost wise it's an inexpensive way to entertain, and frankly, you can't find better!"

I can take any number of clients to one of lan's superbly hosted events and to be honest I can sit back, enjoy the event, and enjoy my clients' company! The events have introduced us to many genuine first-rate sporting heroes, not B listers but genuine superstars with amazing stories to tell.

Kelvin Trott, CEO and Founder of Alexander Charles Associates

"I am glad to be a member."

I had my client meeting last week and the entire experience was brilliant! The service, the food and the room were great. I just wanted to say that I think you run a very interesting membership club.

Alpa Shingadia, Director Rizing Star Ltd

"Keep up the great work!"

It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team behind the scenes. Providing a positive and enjoyable experience for members is key to building a strong community and fostering long-term relationships

Kshitij Kenny Jain, Co-Founder Mindspace Outsourcing Services

"It's incredibly good value for money"

It's the best thing you could do is to join The Sporting Club. It's incredibly good value for money, you have memberships for private members clubs in London, in Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Durham, all over the country that you can use.

Tim Downing, Co Owner at Pygott and Crone Group

"the real value lies in the meaningful connections we make."

The joy of the sporting events, where iconic sporting legends share more than winning or taking part, but an insight into their journey, life, struggles, and successes is just the cherry on top; the real value lies in the meaningful connections we make.

Julie Tooby, Strategic Connector & Corporate Synergy Expert

"Best networking events I've ever been to"

I'm nearly two years into the most enjoyable and 'worth every minute' membership of the fantastic and, in my view, best networking events I've ever been to.

Jon Walker, HR & Training Consultant

"Fantastic networking opportunities coupled with amazing people"

It is always a privilege to attend these magnificent events. Great icons of sport being interviewed beautifully by lan Stafford about their endeavours. Fantastic networking opportunities coupled with amazing people from all walks of life all held at top notch venues.

Sen Monro , Founder Gripping Yarns Films

"The best part was when lan said - the bar is free all night"

If you love any type of sport, this is the place to go. I met several new members who wanted to improve their cyber security, so it was well worth attending. The best part was when lan said - the bar is free all night. What more do you want for a free evening of networking with likeminded people?
