The Sporting Club Scotland is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Spartans FC, becoming the proud sponsor of the Main Stand at the Vanloq Community Stadium.
Founded in 1951, Spartans FC has built a strong reputation within Scottish football for its community focus, player development pathway, and ambition on and off the pitch. Based in North Edinburgh, the club operates at the heart of its local area, delivering competitive football alongside youth programmes and community initiatives that support education, inclusion, and participation in sport.

This partnership will showcase The Sporting Club Scotland’s sport led business community on matchdays and across club activities. It creates a platform for members and local supporters to connect, host clients, and build long term relationships in an authentic football setting.

First Event at Vanloq Community Stadium
The Sporting Club Scotland is thrilled to kick off its very first event at the Vanloq Community Stadium, hosted by Sporting Club founder and award winning journalist Ian Stafford.
Ian has spent over 30 years at the forefront of global sport, covering the Olympics, football and rugby World Cups, and interviewing some of the biggest names in sport. With nine national writing awards and regular appearances on BBC, Sky, ITV and CNN, he brings rare insight into elite performance and leadership.
On the night, Ian will share his journey in sports journalism, explain why he founded The Sporting Club, and tell stories about sporting legends that many will be hearing for the first time.
We are also proud to formally announce our partnership with The Spartans Football Club, with The Sporting Club sponsoring the Main Stand at the Vanloq Community Stadium.
