The Sporting Club Scotland Welcomes Golf Innovations Scotland (GolPhin)
We are proud to welcome Golf Innovations Scotland, creators of the GolPhin brand, as the latest member of The Sporting Club Scotland.
Based in Ayrshire, the historic birthplace of golf, Golf Innovations Scotland is a forward thinking company designing and manufacturing junior golf equipment and coaching programmes that help young people fall in love with the game.
From Beginners to Winners
GolPhin was built on a simple but powerful idea. If children enjoy golf from day one, they stay in the sport.
Their innovative kids’ golf clubs are engineered specifically for children aged 3 to 14. The focus is not just participation, but progression. Every product is designed to build confidence, create enjoyment and help young golfers improve naturally as they develop.
Innovation
Golf Innovations Scotland designs and manufactures junior golf clubs that make it easier for children to get the ball in the air from the very beginning. The goal is to provide an enjoyable, fun filled and confidence building experience that supports a clear journey from beginner to competitive golfer.

Progression
As young golfers aspire towards competition, progression becomes critical. GolPhin’s engineering team has developed a high performance range of clubs that bridges the gap between entry level and performance equipment. The result is a structured pathway that supports development from ages 3 through to 14.
Coaching
Beyond equipment, Golf Innovations Scotland provides Coaching Packs for PGA professionals, schools, golf clubs and associations. These structured resources ensure a positive and engaging introduction to golf, helping coaches deliver consistent and enjoyable experiences for children from the outset.
Proudly Scottish. Globally Recognised.
Headquartered in Ayrshire, host county of the first Open Championship at Prestwick Golf Club in 1860, the company blends tradition with future state technology.
GolPhin products are biomechanically validated by leading scientists from Strathclyde University. Their approach draws on best practices from aeronautics, green energy and medical science to ensure young players have the best possible chance to succeed.
Their products are already recognised as the choice of leading organisations including Carnoustie Golf Links, the Trafford Golf Centre and Golf Australia’s MyGolf national kids programmes.
Leadership and Vision
Founder and CEO Calum McPherson launched GolPhin in 2014 following 18 years of leadership and change management experience within the manufacturing industry.

Under his leadership, the Ayrshire based business has developed innovative products, educational materials and digital platforms aimed at helping golf engage the next generation. GolPhin collaborates with VisitScotland, Scottish Education, Scottish Enterprise, Local Authorities, Active Schools Scotland, golf governing bodies worldwide, PGA professionals across the UK, Europe, America, Australia and New Zealand, the David Leadbetter Academies and Ernie Els for Autism.
Calum’s background in new product development and marketing, combined with a structured Lean Six Sigma business approach, continues to drive the company forward with clear ambition and global intent.
Looking Ahead
Golf Innovations Scotland is not simply manufacturing junior clubs. It is building a long term ecosystem around youth participation, progression and performance.
Their business model focuses on developing strong licensing partnerships with organisations that share a commitment to growing the junior golf market and establishing GolPhin as the number one brand in their territory.
We are delighted to have Golf Innovations Scotland as part of The Sporting Club Scotland network and look forward to supporting their continued growth, innovation and impact on the future of the game.
Good people. Good business. Good fun.
